Who we are

Rise Urban is a boutique planning consultancy. Although small by head-count, we pack a big punch, and have some significant and complex projects within our portfolio that would typically be found at a much larger consultancy.

Operating out of our Subiaco and Margaret River offices, our town planning team has worked extremely hard to build a consulting practice that we are immensely proud of. From its humble beginnings in the midst of Perth’s very first lockdown back in 2020, Rise Urban has quickly evolved into a respected planning consultancy with a huge portfolio of interesting, diverse and rewarding projects.

Rise Urban is held in high regard by the planning and development industries, and was awarded Western Australia’s Small Consultancy of the Year by the Planning Institute of Australia in 2022 and again in 2024. It is the agile nature of our business, along with our exceptional service and genuine relationships that sets us apart.

Our Commitment to the Planning Profession

We believe that we Rise by lifting others.

That’s why we are a strong supporter of the planning profession and the broader development industry outside of our core roles as town planning consultants.

Our staff are actively encouraged and incentivised to give back to the industry wherever possible. We have a strong presence with the Planning Institute of Australia, Women in Planning Network, Urban Development Institute of Australia, and Local Government Planners Association where we support and sponsor events, and provide pro bono input into policy and advocacy reform at every opportunity.

As the ‘barista sponsor’ at the PIA WA State Conference and Regional Conference each year, we get to combine our love of good coffee with our passion for supporting the planning profession.

We have consistently found Rise Urban to deliver approvals despite the challenging mandates we give them. They continue to prove their value and remain our consultant of choice.
